All praises be to The Mightiest, The One who created the whole universe to endow His endless blessings onto humanity. Life, in fact, is the biggest gift of all in itself, but The Most Beneficial and The Most Merciful Allah not only bestowed us life; He also bestowed us with the guidance we need.
This guidance from Allah (SWT) is not confined to any particular period or for particular group of people; rather, it is an omnipresent guidance to humans from all ages and times, as mentioned in the following verse:
Al-Baqara (2:213) Mankind was one single nation, and Allah sent Messengers with glad tidings and warnings; and with them He sent the Book in truth, to judge between People in matters wherein they differed; but the People of the Book, after the clear Signs came to them did not differ among themselves, except through selfish contumacy. Allah by His Grace guided the believers to the Truth concerning that wherein they differed. For Allah guides whom He will to a path that is straight.
The source of all this information is nothing other than the Holy Quran, the last of Scriptures Allah Almighty selects for guiding humanity till eternity. That is why, Allah declares Quran recitation an act of great honor promising countless rewards. This hadith, for example, informs us about one such reward promised by Allah Almighty:
“The one who recites the Quran beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels.” (Bukhaari and Muslim)
